Radiologic Technology

泰勒Sivels is determined to have a bright future with a lot of career options and opportunities. To achieve those goals, she chose the radiologic technology program.

"Going to college is very important to me because I see myself doing more than what I'm doing now,西维尔斯说. "College is a way to many opportunities and overall success."

Sivels initially hopes to work as a radiologic technologist but wants to be cross trained in CT and ultrasound.

"If you know and experience more, it will help you in your job,她说.

Sivels came to Delaware Tech because the College offered a lot of career opportunities and financial assistance. Her interest in a healthcare career came during high school and through having siblings who work in healthcare settings. While she's completing her radiologic degree, Sivels currently works as a certified nursing assistant.

"After graduation and I apply for a job, they'll see I've already been working in healthcare and I have experience working in a hospital,她说.

Her family has always been supportive of Sivels obtaining her associate degree, but her oldest brother passed away in 2021. While it was hard on the family and tough to focus on school, Sivels was determined to continue with her education.

Because of her determination, Sivels has some key advice for students who are just entering the College.

"In order to improve your grades, it is very important to man年龄 your time wisely, 优先考虑, and keep God in your life if you are religious,她说. "It is also very beneficial to take advant年龄 of what the school has to offer. School only lasts for a little while and your life does not stop when you complete it. 因此, you have to accomplish what you can while you're still in school to set yourself up for the rest of life's experiences."
